Gabriel Ambrose died after admission to Highgate Wing of the Whittington Hospital in December 1962 suffering from a fractured skull and a broken leg.
The child had lived with her mother in Hilldrop Road, Islington.
Her mother told the coroner that Gabriel Ambrose had been premature and had been ill since birth.
The pathologist said that her cause of death was cerebral thrombosis associated with cerebral contusions and a fractured skull.
